GloWe in emergencies

When a crisis hits, a network that already knows each other can move fast.

New green shoots growing from burned ground

An emergency coordination hub

During the recent emergency in Israel, GloWe opened a coordination hub. It connected requests for help with the organizations and volunteers able to answer them.

How the hub worked

  1. Requests came in

Organizations, families and municipalities shared what they needed.

  2. The network answered

GloWe matched each request with organizations, professionals and volunteers who could help.

  3. People connected directly

Those who asked and those who offered spoke directly and acted quickly.

Who the hub helped

  • An emergency hosting space for an organization providing holistic care for cancer patients

  • A cybersecurity expert for an organization that had been breached

  • Therapists and practitioners who volunteered their time

  • Support for reservist families

  • Municipalities, families and community groups looking for the right help
